Don Quixote

October 18-19

Inspired by Cervante’s novel, this comedic classical ballet in three parts tells the story of Kitri and Basilio who fall in love despite the protests of Kitri’s father. Colorful characters and Spanish flair will keep you captivated with this lively story set to Minkus’ energetic score.

The Nutcracker

December 6-8

Watch the Nutcracker Prince come to life and guide Clara through the sparkling blizzard of snowflakes to the Land of Sweets, where she is greeted by delightful dancing candies and treats. Fort Wayne Ballet’s professional company is joined by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic.

Ballet Russe Reimagined 1

Paris 1909 — impresario Serge Diaghilev devised the avant-garde Ballets Russes company that became one of the most influential catalysts of performing arts to date. Artistic collaborations, innovative choreography, and compelling compositions created a sensation that reignited the public’s passion for the art of dance, shaping the artistic and popular culture of the time.

Ballet Russe Reimagined 3

What Ballet Russes accomplished through the perception and promotion of the art of dance, it also did for the creative artists of the early 20th century — composers and musicians, choreographers and dancers, painters, designers, and writers all felt the influence of this fresh vibe, adopting and adapting to its movement, progressing the arts from classically aligned standards to more stylized approaches.

Firefly Tour

Fort Wayne Ballet presents a series of free outdoor performances around Northeast Indiana. The Firefly Tour features a variety of works, many of which are choreographed by the professional dancers of Fort Wayne Ballet.

Not-so-scary ghoulies and happy hauntings make up this Halloween dance party! Join the fun as the Fort Wayne Ballet Youth Company and special guests bring this Spooky-Kooky favorite back to life. Dress up in an awesome costume and trick-ortreat your way through the Auer Center after the show!

Curious George

February 22

Hold onto your big yellow hat! Everyone’s favorite mischievous little monkey is on the loose in Fort Wayne Ballet Youth Company and special guests’ performance of Curious George! Fresh from the jungle, George is ready to apply his aping antics to big city life!

Pippi Longstocking

Her name, as she’s happy to tell you, is Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Ephraim’s Daughter Longstocking — but we know and love her as Pippi! When this fantastical daughter of a missing sea captain moves into Villa Villekulla with her suitcase full of treasure and a monkey named Mr. Nilsson, life in a sleepy seaside village will never be the same!
