Holiday magic abounds, as Clara’s toy Nutcracker springs to life and sweeps her off to a land of sweets and wonderment! Fairies and snow flurries shape this enchantment that must be dreamed to be believed. A tale for children young and old, the precious characters and familiar musical themes make Fort Wayne Ballet’s The Nutcracker the very heart of our favorite traditions.
For an extra special treat, we’re excited to once again have the live music of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic December 2 – 4.
Fort Wayne Ballet is happy to partner with the support of AWS Foundation to provide a special Sensory-Friendly Performance of The Nutcracker for families coping with sensory sensitivities. Lower sound and lighting levels, reduced special effects, designated quiet areas and remote viewing in the lobby, and trained staff on-hand to accommodate families’ needs. Tickets are free and available by calling 260.422.4226. This performance is not open to the general public.
Fort Wayne Ballet is excited to launch Kris Kringle Village as part of its festivities with The Nutcracker and to center seasonal holiday activity on the Arts Campus. The village takes its cue from traditional German Christmas Markets that fill the holidays with food, entertainment, and seasonal ornaments, gifts, and fare.
