ARTS UNITED CENTER | 303 E MAIN STREET, DOWNTOWN FORT WAYNE
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to the cool temperature and chance of rain, we are moving our Go Live! Spotlight on the Arts event on Saturday, September 25 inside the Arts United Center. We will still have food trucks on the Arts United Center Plaza beginning at 5:30pm. The program will begin at 7pm inside the Arts United Center and provide a sample of the fantastic arts and culture experiences available year-round at Arts Campus Fort Wayne. The Fort Wayne Ballet and Philharmonic are partnering in an hour-long program of classic favorites including excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty, Copeland’s Hoedown, and other wonderful selections.
While we will not hold our picnic in Freimann Square on Saturday due to the weather, we hope you will join us at the Arts United Center as we celebrate the designation of Arts Campus Fort Wayne as a state-wide recognized Cultural District and hub for arts and culture in Northeast Indiana.
We have COVID protocols in place and are committed to the safety and welfare of our patrons. We recommend masks be worn inside the Arts United Center and will encourage space between groups of seating.
Join us for a free performance at Arts United Center Saturday, September 25, to celebrate the state-wide designation of Arts Campus Fort Wayne as a cultural district. Hosts for the program will be Fort Wayne Philharmonic’s guest conductor for engagement, Caleb Young, and Karen Gibbons-Brown, artistic director of your Fort Wayne Ballet. Works by de Falla, Offenbach, Copland, Khachaturian, and Stravinsky will be featured, with the centerpiece of the evening being selections from Act III of Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty ballet.
