The Auer Academy hosts its annual end of the year academy showcase on Thursday, May 26, with the Primary Showcase at 6:00 pm and the Secondary Showcase at 8:00pm, at the Arts United Center in downtown Fort Wayne. This performance concludes the Auer Academy’s school year, showcasing the progress and artistry developed by the dancers over the past year in many genres of dance.
This performance is a display of ballet, jazz, tap, modern, musical theater and more with pieces highlighting students of all ages. The Primary Showcase will feature some of Fort Wayne Ballet’s youngest dancers, starting at age 3 up through the academy’s beginner levels, including the dancers in our YMCA programs. The Secondary Showcase will highlight dancers from the academy’s intermediate levels up through the highest level of the school. Choreography for the Academy Showcase includes premieres from Fort Wayne Ballet staff members as well as the restaging of classic ballet repertoire. Audiences are sure to enjoy these performances as the joy of dance shines through the Auer Academy students at the conclusion of their school year.
