Babette Hunter

Babette from Springville, Iowa, started dancing at age 3 and later joined Nolte Academy. After high school, she joined BalletMet as a trainee, studying under Edwaard Liang and Timothy Lynch. Babette then joined Oklahoma City Ballet as a trainee, performing in Robert Mills’ Sleeping Beauty. She joined Fort Wayne Ballet in 2017 and has performed roles such as the Stepmother in Cinderella, works from Gerald Arpino including Light Rain and Italian Suites, Dew Drop from the Nutcracker, and several pieces from Tracy Tritz including Broken Hallelujah, Bolero, and the Weird Sisters in Dracula. She has also attended several summer intensives including Milwaukee Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre. Babette is looking forward to her fourth season with Fort Wayne Ballet.
