Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Astrid grew up training at Dance Center Evanston, where she studied the Cecchetti Method of Ballet through grades 1–7. She graduated cum laude from Butler University with high departmental honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Dance–Arts Administration and a minor in Business Administration. In addition to her year-round training, Astrid has trained with Ballet Austin, the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet under Desmond Richardson, as well as at Orsolina 28 in Italy with répétiteurs of Marco Goecke and Jiří Kylián. She is excited to begin her first season with Fort Wayne Ballet as both an Apprentice and the Company’s Marketing and Development Coordinator.
