Fort Wayne Ballet’s Summer Intensive:
June 27 – July 30, 2021

Two Week (June 27 – July 10) or Five Week (June 27 – July 30) Options; 
*younger dancers are encouraged to participate in the two week session

THREE WAYS TO AUDITION:

Virtual Zoom Audition, In-Person Audition, Video Submission
 
Auditioning through any of three options is $25;
All auditioners, regardless of which option you choose, must pay audition fee
online through MindBody.

Any dancer who has been accepted to Fort Wayne Ballet’s Summer Intensive in the past two years can automatically reserve their spot for SI 2021 without an audition! Spots are very limited.

2021 AUDITION DATES

January 10th; Virtual Audition- Open to all; 12:30PM
January 17th; Virtual Audition- Open to all; 12:30PM
February 20th; In-Person Audition- Specifically for students of the Auer Academy of Fort Wayne Ballet; 10:00AM
February 21st; Virtual Audition- Open to all; 12:30PM
March 7th; In-Person Audition at Fort Wayne Ballet- Open to all; 12:30PM
April 30th; All Video Auditions Due
 
Please email our Ballet Registrar at registrar@fortwayneballet.org to reserve your spot for either a Virtual Audition, In-Person Audition or to submit your Video Audition. All Virtual and In-Person auditions are limited to 25 spots per session. 
 

Fort Wayne Ballet’s Summer Intensive emphasizes technique, artistic expression and musicality necessary to prepare well-rounded, classically trained dancers.

  • Seminars focus on choreography, dance terminology, nutrition, dance history, injury prevention, and other related topics
  • Performance opportunities for 5-week participants and planned social activities

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Fort Wayne Ballet Summer Intensive is for intermediate to pre-professional students.
  • Audition or video audition is required for participation. Audition fee: $25. Video Audition Requirements
  • Placement classes for all participants will be held first day of Intensive
  • Fort Wayne Ballet enforces a dress code and traditional rules of dance etiquette, as set forth in the registration confirmation letter.
  • Participants are invited to perform in a culminating workshop performance at the end of the program
  • Auditions for Fort Wayne Ballet contracts, Full-Year Trainee Program, BFA Dance Degree, and Summer Intensive Program

Two-Week Summer Intensive Program: $1,100.
