Fort Wayne Ballet’s Trainee Program

Our Trainee Program combines rigorous training curriculum with professional experience and performances. Trainees with an advanced classical ballet background prepare for a career in dance while training within the Auer Academy and rehearsing and performing with the professional company. Trainees also have the opportunity to apply to the Fort Wayne Ballet Conservatory at the University of Saint Francis.

Trainees follow the Pre Professional class schedule which includes ballet class 6 days a week, pointe 5 days a week, men’s class once a week, partnering, jazz, modern, musical theatre, character, and a weekly seminar. They also take class with the company Monday through Friday 9am to 10:30 am. Trainees also rehearse with the company when called for.
