Doston Turgunov, originally from Uzbekistan, trained at the Tashkent State National School of Dance and Choreography, as well as the State Academy of Choreography of Uzbekistan. His remarkable performances include the role of Basilio in the Grand Pas de Deux from Don Quixote, Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, and the Snow Cavalier in The Nutcracker. Before coming to America, Doston had the honor of performing with the Bolshoi Theatre as a soloist. Doston is set to return for his second season with the company, promising another year of captivating performances, and showcasing the rich talent emerging from Uzbekistan. Doston is excited to be teaching in the Auer Academy this season, passing on his knowledge of character dance to the next generation.
